Aphrodite's Breath

For me painting is a game that surfaces on the canvas in front of me. I am a curious painter. If I could have it my way I would leave my intentions at the door. But I am corrupted by the conniving ways of a mind. At times I am able to sneak into my periphery and catch glimpses of other things. Things my co\trolled mind could not have witnessed. Like a child searching out shapes in the clouds. I can catch these occurrences if I have the eyes to see. I play like an adult who has lost his childhood and paint with the hand of an agitated puppy. These artworks were painted with minimal preconceptions. I started with pupils. After that it was a mark and response process until a glimpse of a personality was spotted. From then on I am a caregiver, doing my best to flower the individual to its potential. Sometimes they turn into jokes, some are love stories. Some are both to me and neither to you. Take what you want from them, for the unique perception of each of us is something to be savoured.
