Olive Gilbert lives in Naarm/Melbourne’s Westside. Olive Made is her creative practice and bag label. Olive’s work takes inspiration from rummaging in op shops, holidays and the multicultural suburbs on her doorstep. Her work incorporates bold textiles and colours creating unique pieces that are functional and made to be seen. This summer Olive completed a 6-week residency in the vibrant, industrial suburb of Sunshine. During her time in a shop front studio, she learnt how to macrame on YouTube and made bags that hero the rope found in the isles of her local bunnings and variety stores. @olive_made www.olivemade.studio
